You embody a spawn of the Great One, one of his wriggly tentacles.

Released in a small town, you only have one objective: eradicate all Villagers, but beware of the Investigators lurking about!

My entry for the Bevy Spooky Jam!

The theme was: Eldritch.

I tried to flip the script and have you play has the Eldritch thing, rather than surviving it. Still got to survive though!

This is my first ever finished game and my first full project in rustlang, I tried my best, but there might be some bugs.

The environment art, as well as the characters (except the wriggling ones, and some assets, like the lights) are from ElectricLemon.

The rest is from me, including the UI and the music! It's my first music as well, I hope it won't tire you too quickly.

The game was made with Bevy, LDtk, Aseprite, and VCV Rack 2.

Supports Keyboard and Gamepad.

Neither the browser version nor the windows version run for me. The browser version just shows a black screen on both Firefox and Chromium. It looks like it's failing to load SpookyGame.js so maybe the bundle you uploaded is incomplete?

The windows version also doesn't run for me. When I launch it (using  wine on linux) a window opens and instantly closes with no error messages.

Hello, thanks for the feedback! I've uploaded new versions, the web version should properly pick up the js file now. As for the Windows one, it's working on my end and I tested it at a friend's this weekend, so I know it works, I recomplied it differently, so you can give it a go again but if you'd like I can also compile it for Linux tomorrow.

Awesome! The web version runs for me now, so no need to do the linux version.

I've downloaded MacOS (I've a M1 model) version but it doesn't works.

Hello! Sorry about that, I forgot to package it. I've done that now (should also works for non-arms as well now), so you should have the regular MacOS experience now.

Nvm, it's going to launch, but I forgot I don't have all the assets with me, so the main tileset will be missing. I'll fix it when I'm back home on Monday.

Thanks for fixing, now is working. I can open the game, but when I clic "Play" nothing happens (only a little UI appears in top left corner)

Should be working now!
